A PROMISING ENVIRONMENT IF PEOPLE ADHERE TO 1MALAYSIA CONCEPT
KOTA KINABALU (Malaysia), Sept 16 (Bernama) -- If the people adhere to the
1Malaysia concept, they would live in a promising environment under the
leadership of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, said Sabah social activist Patrick
Sindu.
In the case of Sabah, he said the state had come a long way, since Malaysia
was born, 46 years ago.
However, there were still pressing matters that needed to be addressed, one
of which is the disparity in costs between the Peninsular and Sabah and Sarawak,
both East Malaysia states, he added.
“The federal government has been really thoughtful of Sabah and Sarawak’s
needs and generous in giving monetary allocations for our development.
“I am pleased that the prime minister introduced the 1Malaysia concept and
Datuk Seri Najib and his Cabinet members are coming to all parts of Sabah more
frequently,” Sindu told Bernama when contacted here Wednesday.
On Sabah receiving Malaysia's first submarine, 'Scorpene', he said it would
augur well for its security, especially in thwarting the influx of illegal
immigrants into the state, via the sea, among others.
