Mitr Lao Sugar factory pays land lease

(KPL) The Mitr Lao Sugar Factory, invested by Thai investor, presented over 500 million kip or U$59,100 of land lease concession for sugarcane plantation to the Lao Government.
The concession applies to 9,850 ha of land in the central province of Savannakhet.
The payment was made at the National Land Management Authority (NLMA), on 15 September.
The director of the NLMA Office, Mr. Bounty Dethvongsone, on behalf of Lao Government, received money from Mr Bantheung Wongkulsonkrit, Director General of the Mitr Lao Sugar Company in the witnesses of both sides’ officials.
The company is applying for another concession of 150 ha of land for the construction of a sugar mill, which is awaiting the government decision.
The Mitr Lao Sugar Company has operated sugar production in Laos since 2006.
