HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY, SAYS MALAYSIAN PM

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak
has reminded the people to be careful on the road during the "balik kampung"
rush in conjunction with the Aidilfitri.
"Balik kampung" — literally means as going back to one's home town to
celebrate Hari Raya with family and friends.

"Let the homecoming be greeted by tears of joy and not tears of sadness,"
the prime minister said in his Hari Raya message.

Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat also urged motorists to drive
carefully and observe traffic rules.

"Balik kampung is a happy occasion and let's not turn it into a tragedy.
Think of your loved ones, as what you do will impact them. Drive safely,"
appealed Ong in his Hari Raya message.

Ninety-three deaths were recorded throughout the country since Sunday.
