Al-Alimi meets with international officials

SANA'A, Sep. 19 (Saba) - Deputy prime
minister for Defense and Security Affairs and minister of Local Administration
Rashad al-Alimi
met on Saturday the resident representative of the UN and the WHO Ghulam Popal
Rabani, and head of the Doctors Without Borders' mission in Yemen Francisco Otero
Velar. The
meeting, attended by minister of Public Health and Population Abdul Karim Ras'a,
discussed the situation in Saada and Amran with a focus on ways to provide aid for
more than
150.000 people displaced by battles between the government forces and the Houthi
insurgents. Al-Alimi briefed the two international officials on the fresh ceasefire
announced
by the government on Saturday and that comes as the Eid arrives and in response to
mounting calls by relief organizations to allow in aid for the displaced. FR
