Ports in Kingdom on occasion of National Day

Riyadh, September 20, SPA --Saudi ports play an important role in the
huge movements of the Kingdom's exports and imports.

In a statement, the Saudi Ports Authority made clear that until the
fiscal year of 2008, the Kingdom's government has spent about (SR 38
billion) on establishing and developing its eight ports, to be able
to receive the largest vessels in the world, supported by the most
sophisticated guidance systems and navigational aids to ensure safe
navigation of ships.

During 2008, the number of vessels received at the main ports in the
Kingdom about (11518) ship.

The increases achieved in the operational performance of the Saudi
Ports reflects the support and patronage of the Government of the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud
and the Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier,
Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General.
