Saudi ambassador highlights national day

Amman, Sept 20, SPA -- Saudi ambassador to Jordan Fahd al-Zeid has
highlighted the Kingdom’s national day, which falls on September 23,
and said true citizenship requires exerting tireless efforts in the
service of the country.
In a statement to SPA on the occasion of the Kingdom's national day,
al-Zeid pointed out that this year's national day coincides with the
celebrations of the Kingdom and the Muslim world with eid-al-fitr.
The ambassador congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the
Deputy Premier, Defense and Aviation Minister and Inspector General,
Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier and Interior
minister, the Royal Family and the Saudi people on the occasion of
eid-al-fitr and the national day.
Citing the national day, he said King Abdulaziz had successfully
unified the Kingdom under the banner of Islam, adding that the sons
of King Abdulaziz have been following the footsteps of their great
father and the Kingdom has been steadily going ahead on the path of
progress and development.
