Britons highlight the Kingdom's national day

London, Sept 21, SPA -- A number of prominent Britons have lauded
the political and economic weight of Saudi Arabia at the regional and
international arenas.
In statements to SPA on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the
Kingdom's national day, they hailed the Kingdom’s pioneering role in
the middle east and the Muslim world.
They also lauded the wise manner in which the Kingdom has been
tackling the international problems and reiterated the significance
of the existing deep-rooted relations between Saudi Arabia and the
United Kingdom.
Allen Monro, the former British ambassador to Saudi Arabia and who is
the ahead of the Saudi-British friendship committee, praised the
Kingdom's role in the stability of the world economy.
He also lauded the arrangements made by the Kingdom to attract
foreign investments and said the healthy investment environment in
the Kingdom is welcomed by foreign investors.

Meanwhile, Michel Thomas, the head of the middle east society, said
the Saudi economy is the strongest in the middle east region, and
expressed satisfaction for the fostering Saudi-British relations.
On his part, Lord Mohammed Batail, who always leads the British Hajj
mission to the Kingdom, praised the significant role of the Kingdom
in the service of the guests of God.
On the other hand, Lord Philip Hant, the minister of state for the
affairs of the retired employees, lauded the excellent services being
extended by the Kingdom to pilgrims and Umrah (minor Hajj)
performers.
Deputy Mayor of Birmingham Dr Abdel-Rasheed underscored the
importance of further cementing Saudi-Britain relations.
