Lao delegation to attend UN Climate Change Conference
(KPL) Laos will attend the 15th Conference of the United Nations Climate Change to be held in Copenhagen, Capital of Denmark, at the end of this year.
The Environment and Water Resource Organisation organised a meeting in Vientiane on 16-19 September, to prepare information for the reporting and discussion in the United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen.
The event was chaired by Mr Khampadith Khammounheuang, Deputy Director of the Environment and Water Resource Department, Prime Minister’s Office.
Attending the meeting were international experts, directors, and deputy directors from ministries concerned.
The main objective of the meeting aimed at comprehending on climate change and the negotiation movement on climate change impact on economy and society at the international arena, to high-ranking officials before leaving for the United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen.
