Prizes for popularization of Kazakh language

Almaty, October 01, 2009, Khabar - “Nur Otan” has handed the prizes for popularization of state language. The contest was organized by the party and was timed for the 20th anniversary of adopting of the Law “About Languages”. The projects on development of Kazakh language were proposed, and work of organizations that contribute into its development, TV casts and articles were valued. “Kazakh Language” Russian company that assists the preservation of Kazakh culture and department of finances of East Kazakhstani region are among the winners. Series of belles-lettres, film, manuals and materials created by LyudmilaKirilinskaya won in “Best project” nomination. “Saryarka Samaly” newspaper and reality show “Kazakshanyz Kalai” of “Khabar” Agency took the first places for presenting of best materials in mass media. In general, over 100 of projects had been sent for the competition.

Arman Karabayev, art leader of reality show “Kazakshanyz Kalai” of “Khabar” Agency:
- We decided to make an accent onto those young people who wish to learn their native language or to know the language, because they have motivation for their development as specialists, lawyers, journalists and artists. The idea of the program originated from these issues.
