President visits Nakhichevan
Nakhichevan, October 03, 2009, Khabar - At the summit of the Turkic states in Nakhichevan, the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was talking about Kazakhstan’s initiative on the creation of the new integrated association called Turkic council. The Kazakhstan president offered an effective measure, which will assist in strengthening the cooperation between nations.
Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of RK:
-The clear mechanism of making and implement ting joint decisions will help as to reach a completely new level of our cooperation. In this connection Kazakhstan suggests the creation of the council of Turkic states cooperation.
The idea of the president was approved. The result of the meeting was that the heads of states ratified an agreement on the creation of the Turkic council. Nursultan Nazarbayev said that this decision has become very important historical step. The summit involved presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. As part of this meeting at highest level, Nursultan Nazarbayev held a number of bilateral negotiations. In particular, he talked with presidents of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. After the first summit of heads of Turkic states happened in 1992, it has become a regular event. Now, the countries will be able to cooperate in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas.

-The heritage, which was left by our ancestors, is a bottomless ocean of spiritual values. I believe that it is high time present this cultural treasury to the whole world. In this connection, I am offering the creation of the Turkic academy with a museum and a library. Such institution may be open in Astana or in Turkestan.
