The united national system of health protection

Astana, October 05, 2009, Khabar - Every citizen of the country can get free medical help since the first January 2010 not only in state, but also in private clinics.
This theme was the main on the government hour in the Parliament where the Minister of Health Zhaksylyk Doskaliev answered the questions of deputies. He also notice that the patient has right to choose the doctor in charge of the case.

Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev, Minister of Health of RK:
- When we choose the restaurant we do not go to the bad one, right? We go to the place where we can have good food. That is the principle of the market, and we should follow it in the health protection system.

The united national system of health protection is planned to be instilled in two steps till 2020. The base of the system is the new principles of financing that used in such countries as Canada and Australia. The today’s scheme of financing is considered to be not effective.

Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev, Minister of Health of RK:
- In Kaaganda region we have about 88-89 thousand tenge for every medical treatment case. And at the same time this figures are two times less in South Kazakhstan. That is nonsense. That is not right. For example, the pneumonia should be treated equally in whole Kazakhstan, and amount of money should be approximately the same in every region.

Minister also said that the new system would stimulate medical workers to increase their qualifications, and therefore their income will rise.
