Republican council on social conflicts resolving

Astana, October 07, 2009 (Khabar) - People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan has initiated the creation of Republican council on social conflicts solution. Parliament deputies, representatives of NGOs and right defense organizations are the members of the council. The document about the work of new apparatus has been approved today in Astana. Council will consider and resolve long disputes and conflicts of social character, develop mechanisms of their prevention. It will become a dialogue platform for citizens and representatives of power in the solution of the most difficult problems.

Darhan Kaletayev, first deputy of “Nur Otan” chairman:
- The work of this council should be based not only on the principles of observing of any particular case of nonpayment of salary or someone’s eviction. Such issues will be considered and they should be considered. But I think that one of directions of the council’s work should be recommendations to the government, Parliament and executives organs about bringing of some changes or amendments to laws.

The republican council was created on the example of Almaty city council of conflicts resolving. The one third of all cases was solved there during the year. Darhan Kaletayev noted that all political parties and public organizations are invited to take part in council’s work.
