Kazakhstan- Switzerland: the development of inter-parliaments relations

Astana, October 07, 2009 (Khabar) - Deputy group on cooperation with Federal council of Switzerland is created in the Senate. The Senate chairman Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland have discussed perspectives of bilateral relations. The Speaker has noticed that the year of Kazakhstan’s presidency in the OSCE is significant for the Organization by several anniversary dates. He also has highlighted the idea of OSCE summit in Astana the next year. Micheline Calmy-Rey in her turn has supported strengthening of relations between Kazakhstan and Switzerland, and also has underlined the importance of parliamentary dialogue in development of interstate communications.
