Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz makes statement
Cairo, Oct 07, SPA -- Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, General
President of the Saudi Arabian Meteorology and Environmental
Protection, who is also the President of the Executive Office of the
Arab Ministers Council in charge of Environment Affairs has stressed
the importance of the topics on the agenda of the 42nd session of the
Council's Executive Office.
In a key speech at the outset of the meeting, Prince Turki bin Nasser
made clear that yesterday evening's meeting adopted many
recommendations tabled before the Arab Environment Ministers in their
council's meeting.
"The world is witnessing signs of a breakthrough on the global
economic crisis, making necessary the need to adopt the concept of
the green economy as one of the options available to modify the path
of the global economy and achieve sustainable development", he added.
Concluding his speech, Prince Turki expressed appreciation of the
Technical Secretariat of the Council, Arab, regional and global
organizations for their support for the Executive Council.
