Kazakhstan – Israel: development of parliamentary cooperation

Astana, October 15, 2009 (Khabar) - Today the chairman of Senate Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev has accepted the assistant to the Prime Minister, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the State Israel Avigdor Liberman.
At a meeting questions of the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Israel, including at level of inter-parliamentary dialogue are discussed.
Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev has underlined importance of communications between legislatures.
According to the speaker, the Senate will use the best efforts for legislative maintenance of mutual relations. The chairman of the Senate has transferred the invitation to the chairman of the Knesset of Israel to visit Kazakhstan.
According to Avigdor Liberman, successful development of mutual relations is promoted by personal meetings of heads of two states; the diplomat also has highly appreciated a role of inter-parliamentary communications.
