President of Austria meets with Speaker of Shoura Council

Vienna, October 13, SPA -- Dr. Heinz Fischer, the President of the
Republic of Austria, met here today with visiting Dr. Abdullah bin
Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheik, Speaker of the Shoura Council of
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the accompanying delegation.
Saudi ambassador to Austria Prince Mansour bin Khalid Al Saud, was
present in the meeting.

During the meeting, the president hailed the efforts of the Kingdom,
led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud, for political and economical stability in the
world, lauding the initiatives of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to
bring about peace in the Middle East and bridge the gap among
civilizations and peoples of the world of today.
President of Austria also paid tribute to the support of the Kingdom
for Austria's nomination to a non-permanent seat in the Security
Council.
He sent greetings to the Saudi leadership and people.
