MAHATHIR TO TALK ON EMPOWERING THE MALAYS
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad will share his thoughts and experience at a discourse organised by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Alumni at the Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya on Monday.
The event will kick-start a series of discourses planned by the alumni to
tap the mind of intellectuals and thinkers for the benefit of its members, said
the alumni secretariat in a statement Wednesday.
It said Dr Mahathir would talk on a topic titled "Empowering the Malays
Strategy".
In conjunction with the discourse, Dr Mahathir will launch several books
written by UiTM alumnus, including that of UiTM vice-chancellor Prof Dr Ibrahim
Abu Shah.
Dr Mahathir will also launch a world record edition of a series of 60 books
in bahasa Melayu and English titled "The Prime Ministers of Malaysia" by a UiTM
alumnus, Mansor Puteh.
The world record-breaking feat was carried out under the auspices of the
alumni, said the secretariat, adding that UiTM had produced about 300,000
graduates.
