Presidents of three countries come to CSTO
Almaty, October 15, 2009 (Khabar) -
Almaty has witnessed the arrival of Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Emomali Rakhmonov and Serzh Sargsyan, who will be observing the Interaction-2009 strategic command and staff exercises with the CSTO rapid reaction force.
It is expected that soon, Almaty will witness the arrival of the president of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev. Exercises will also be visited by Nursultan Nazarbayev. At the airport, guests were met by the first deputy of Foreign Affairs Minister of Kazakhstan Nurtai Abykayev and deputy head of Almaty Maulen Mukashev. Defense Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia were met by representatives of Kazakhstan’s Defense Ministry. Such exercises are spent for the first time in Kazakhstan. More than 7 thousand military representatives will take part in it.
