British minister praises Saudi efforts to address carbon dioxide
London, Oct 15, SPA -- The British Minister of Energy and Climate
Change Ed Miliband praised here today the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's
handling of issues related to the control and store of carbon
dioxide.
Pointing to the importance of the meeting which will be hosted by
London next Sunday and Monday for the major economic powers in the
world, Miliband stressed that the contribution of all countries,
including oil-producing countries, is important in the issues of
climate change.
At a news conference held at the head office of his Ministry,
the British minister said that "the important thing I had seen during
talks here last week with Saudi representatives on the sidelines of
the summit meeting of technologies to control and store carbon
dioxide was that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to move forward
on issues relating to the diversification of renewable energy sources
such as the control and store of carbon dioxide".
