Upbringing of “difficult” teenagers

Karaganda, October 17, 2009 (Khabar) - Law-enforcement organs of Karaganda together with non-governmental organizations and young “Zhas Otan” members actively involve difficult children and teenagers to healthy lifestyle.
Inspectors that deal with under age have organized friendly football match with their wards. Kenes Aishurin is one those children who have lost both parents. He had many problems, but love to sport made him forget about unhappy past.

Kenes Aishurin:
- I see that those who were hooligans become more serious, start playing football and other games with us and become good people.

Such matches have become tradition in Karaganda. “Zhas Otan” and NGO “Childhood” have supported this initiative.

Natalya Krasnikova, director of NGO “Childhood”:
- They’d better spend time at football yard than in backstreets. I think that this technique “equal to equal” should be successful; at least it has some movements in Karaganda.

Nurlan Rakhimbekov, deputy of head of social safety department of Internal Affairs, Karaganda region:
- Actually relationship becomes closer here, and the attitude of children towards our officials would be another, and the officials will have individual access to some teenagers. It will have great importance in upbringing and prophylactic work.

This football fight is one of those where final count is not important. According to the organizers, the main aim is to make children like healthy life style and prevent them from law breaks.
