New York, October 17, 2009 (Khabar) - America has witnessed a concert of the People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Gaukhar Murzabekova and the winner of international contests Amir Tebenikhin. The artists presented a classic music programme which involved the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Robert Schumann and Rossini. The American audience particularly admired the works of the Kazakhstan composer Akhmet Zhubanov. The founder of the “Camerata of Kazakhstan” state ensemble of classical music Gaukhar Murzabekova is a winner of international contests. She has given concerts in France, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Italy and Turkey but it is her first concert in the USA.

Gaukhar Murzabekova, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan:
- The first concert happened in Washington as part of a series of concerts for the diplomatic corps. Our second concert took place in the Kennedy Centre and now, we are performing in New York.

The heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of public and business circles of the USA and the Kazakh expatriate community also attended the concert. The American music critics expressed admiration for the skill of the musicians. The American audience particularly admired the “Aria” by Akhmet Zhubanov.

Amir Tebenikhin, pianist:
- We included Kazakhstan’s music into the programme of the concert because we wanted to familiarize the audience of New York with Kazakh music.

Gaukhar Murzabekova, People’s Artist of Kazakhstan:
- We have a lot of plans and all of them are connected with the “Camerata of Kazakhstan” state ensemble of classical music. Almost every month we are presenting a new programme.
