Baby girl rescued from train accident site still in shock

Mathura, Oct 21 (PTI) She was found beneath a seat in
the last bogie of the ill-fated Mewar Express here by a group
of army men on rescue work but the two-year-old is in shock
and yet to be united with her family.
The girl, donning an orange-colour dress, is not
uttering a single word and had refused to take any food ever
since she was found around 5 am IST on the stationary train
after Delhi-bound Goa Express rammed into it here in India's
northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
"She was crying inconsolably when an army team rescued
her from the ladies compartment. At 4 pm, the girl was again
brought to the spot in the hope of finding her relatives, but
in vain," an army official, Subedar Rajkumar Chauhan told PTI.
For the initial few hours, she was taken care by a
passenger from Karol Bagh, however, when he left for Delhi,
she was handed over to authorities of the Army Hospital here.
"The girl is crying inconsolably and refuses to take
any food. She is also not uttering a word as she is in shock,"
