“Kazakh Yeli” is a symbol of freedom and prosperity
Astana, October 21, 2009 (Khabar) - Kazakhstan citizens think that architect and sculpture complex personifies our past, present and future. It became not only a unique architectural construction, but also a place of worship to the ancestors who have embodied all stages stories and developments of the country. The history of Kazakhstan totals not one millennium. It is difficult, various, interesting and dramatic. However, today it is for certain known, why there were those or other events and for the sake of what our ancestors shed blood centuries. Many generations of Kazakhs struggled for independence. But the dream of the people was carried out only 19 years ago. This event, undoubtedly, one of the most important in the history of Kazakhstan, therefore also has found reflex in a monument "Kazakh Yeli".
Nurlan Orazalinov, chairman of Kazakhstan’s writers union:
- “Kazakh Yeli” monument is the personifying of great feeling of independence of many generations, people, and the whole nation. It will come to the history as a stage of sovereignty.
Nurlan Uteshev, executive director of “Zhas Otan”:
- Monument has a great sacral meaning for every young citizen of Kazakhstan because all the values we follow are shown here.
Four bas-reliefs symbolize unity of the people and political, economic and spiritual basis on which the Kazakhstan society is based. It is possible to consider a complex composition as a design of national idea of Kazakhstan. Independence and unification for the blessing of prosperity of the Native land, Fatherland protection, valor and courage of soldiers of all times, creation to which generations aspire, showing labor solidarity and the future sense of development of the nation.
Kuanysh Sultanov, Senate deputy:
- The role of person is estimated highly, in any time people showed its attitude to those who deserve it. I think that the first President who was able to create new powerful and perspective state deserves respect of people, and it is shown in this complex.
Yelena Tarasenko, Majilis deputy:
- I think that such monuments should be. We leave a heritage to our future generation, to our children, and I consider it deeply symbolical, and such power, beauty and greatness are the things that our country deserves.
