Medvedev satisfied with level of RF-Tajikistan relations.

MOSCOW, October 22 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is
satisfied with the level of the development of Russia-Tajikistan relations
and expects that their friendly and partnership character will remain
intact for years ahead.
At talks with President Emomali Rakhmon of Tajikistan, the Russian
Head of State said that during Thursday's meeting the two leaders were
able to do "the main thing: to certify a definite level of
Russia-Tajikistan relations". "This level suits us in full," Medvedev
emphasized.
The Russian leader pointed out, "This day is a special occasion for
the meeting". "We often meet in various formats. We met six times this
year alone. However, today is the culmination: a State visit by the
President of Tajikistan, the first one in the entire history of
Russia-Tajikistan relations," Medvedev said. His opinion is that "The
symbolic significance of the visit at such a level is that the two
countries maintain developed, close, friendly, and allied relations of
partnership ". "It is of importance to us that our relations continue to
be built on these principles for years ahead," the President of the
Russian Federation said.
Rakhmon assured Medvedev that to develop "Relations with Russia has
been a priority for Tajikistan ever since the first days of its
independence". The President of Tajikistan referred to interaction with
Moscow as "a conscious lasting strategic choice" and expressed "gratitude
for a traditionally warm welcome."
