Office of Prosecutor officials’ conference
Astana, October 22, 2009 (Khabar) - The updated code of professional honor of public prosecutors was presented in Astana. Here all regional public prosecutors have gathered for the first time together with workers of the central department, they will discuss questions of the work in a context of the new concept of a legal policy and problems on the social stability put by the head of the state. Expansion of remedial bases, strengthening of legality, social stability, increase of efficiency of public prosecutor’s supervision is going to be discussed. For the whole history of the Kazakhstani Office of Public Prosecutor it is the first exchange of experience of similar scale.
Orak Praliyev, Shu transport prosecutor, honored official of Office of Presecutor, RK:
- For my 25 years work such conference is held for the first time, it let us exchange work experience, opinions and new ideas with our colleagues.
During the seminar the head of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of the country Kairat Mami has noted that department as a whole copes with the problems assigned to it, and basically it is a merit of public prosecutors on places. The big work on softening of consequences of an economic crisis is spent, the rights of thousand citizens are protected, the crime rate decreases. At the same time the head of department has suggested to develop strategy on improvement of efficiency of public prosecutor's activity in a context of realization of the new concept of a legal policy.
Kairat Mami, General public prosecutor, RK:
– On each branch of supervision it is necessary to improve forms and methods of the organization of work, to define the list of the most important problems and to develop a series of measures under their decision.
Among the basic vectors is struggle against the organized crime, drug business and illegal economy. Development of analytical work will proceed. Public prosecutors will offer additional measures of interaction of legal structures at interstate level.
Artykbek Mashayev, the public prosecutor of Raimbek area, Almaty region:
– Our area is located on border with the Chinese National Republic, the Kyrgyz Republic; thereupon during legality of delivery of the ground areas along border we reveal a number of the roughest infringements of legality.
At meeting the new code of honour of employees of Office of Public Prosecutor is presented. Morally-ethical requirements are established, rules of office etiquette are fixed, and positions of the Decree of the President about additional measures on strengthening of struggle against criminality and corruption are reflected.
Johann Merkel, the first deputy of the General public prosecutor:
- It is modernised, and requirements which the President has stated at an anticorruption forum have got to the code. That is they have got the status of position which is subject to obligatory execution.
Besides, public prosecutors will have own association, the charter project is already ready. It will help to establish the connexion with bodies of Office of Public Prosecutor of other countries, more possibilities to receive the international legal aid will appear.
