Saudi Arabia to participate in 3rd Global Forum on Migration and Development

Riyadh, October 24, SPA -- Saudi Arabia represented by the Ministry of Labor will
participate in the Third Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD), which
will be convened under the theme of "the integration of migration policies in
development strategies for the benefit of all." It will start its two-day
deliberations from November 2, 2009 in Athens - the Greek Capital.

The Saudi Delegation is to be led by Dr. Mufareg Saad Al Qahtani, The
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor for Planning and Development. It will
highlight the Saudi efforts in protection of foreign manpower and preservation of
their rights.

The Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) is an annual international
meeting for voluntary, non-binding and informal discussion which investigates the
methods through which migration may contribute towards development goals. It was
established following a proposal made to that effect by the Secretary-General of
the United Nations, Kofi Annan, in September 2006.
