MWL welcomes Italian Official`s Call on King`s `Dialogue Initiative`

Makkah, October 24, SPA -- The General Secretariat of Muslim World League (MWL)
has welcomed the call of President of Italy's Chamber of Deputies Gianfranco Fini
for an international collective commitment to the initiative launched by the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for
establishing a global and comprehensive dialogue among followers of religions,
civilizations and different cultures.

The MWL's Secretary General Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki has pointed out
that Fini's inaugural address during the Symposium of Cementing Bridges of
Understanding between the West and the Muslim World held at headquarters of the
Italian Chamber last Wednesday, touched upon important elements of the King's
initiative for dialogue, adding that it has been a global humanitarian initiative
including its noble principles which facilitated a welcome and positive response
for the initiative.

Dr. Al-Turki noted that the peoples of the world who are looking forward to
achieving cooperation, peace and security, found in Islamic principles included in
the King's initiative as a contribution to solutions for the problems and
challenges facing humanity at this era.

Dr. Al-Turki called for practical cooperation between MWL and Italian Chamber and
other bodies concerned with dialogue, indicating that the League is ready to
prepare various programs in the field of dialogue in implementation of the King's
Initiative for Dialogue among Followers of Religions, Civilizations and different
Cultures
