Abylai khan expositional complex opens in Burabay

Kokshetau, October 24, 2009 (Khabar) - The Abylai khan expositional complex has opened in the territory of the “Burabay” natural park. According to architects’ plan, this facility reconstructs the image of the historical past.

Abai Bisembayev, deputy chief of Presidential Business Management:
- It has a cultural message. When every person, tourist or resident of the city or region comes here, they have to know who this valley is named after and its history. Therefore, this exposition has been made.

According to historical data, headquarters of Abylai khan used to be located here, near the Auliekol Lake.

Marat Absembetov, historian:
- Every nation has its outstanding figures. For example, Charles XII in Sweden, Peter I in Russia and so is Ablai khan for Kazakhs. He united the separated tribes of Kazakhs into one nation in the 18th century and defined our frontier. His life and feats will be serving as a remarkable example for the Kazakh nation and our future generation must know its history to be able to look confidently into the future.

Paintings and sculptures which depict liberation movements of the Kazakh nation against Dzungars and feats of arms by Kazakh heroes have been collected in the museum.

Konyr Muhamadiyev, author of the complex:
- There were meeting with scientists, historians, museum experts. And in the result the art composition was created. Here is the panorama, an episode of dusty campaign, the height of battle scene, and the fight between Kazakh and Jungar warriors.

The “Kokshetau” mountain, “Three sisters” rock and “Okzhetpes” became natural decorations for the theatrical performance about the fight of Kazakh people for their independence.
