PAKISTAN TO ATTEND D8 MINISTERIAL MEETING IN KL

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 (Bernama) -- Pakistan will participate in the D8
ministerial meeting scheduled here on Nov 2, which is expected to issue a
communique to address food security in the grouping of Islamic developing
countries.

A Pakistan High Commission statement said Monday that Foreign Minister Shah
Mahmood Qureshi would lead the delegation for the meeting which is preceded by
the D8 commission meeting from Oct 30 to Nov 2.

"On the sidelines of the ministerial meeting, the Pakistan Foreign Minister
is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from D-8 countries
and also meet with potential Malaysian investors," the statement added.

Qureshi will also present a model of the historic Badshahi Mosque of
Lahore to the Islamic Art Museum of Malaysia which exhibits models of Islamic
heritage from throughout the world.
