HARVARD SCHOLAR CALLS ON MALAYSIAN PRIME MINISTER

PUTRAJAYA, 26 Okt (Bernama) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak
Monday received a courtesy call from the first Malaysian to be awarded a
scholarship by the University of Harvard, United States (US), at his office
here.

Tunku Dr Sharifah Elizah Cornelia Jamalullail, 29, was offered the Harvard
University scholarship to undertake a study in psychiatry for one month.

The scholarship, under the auspices of The Mahadevan Fellowship Travelling
To Harvard University, enables her to continue her study at the Psychiatry
Department, Massachusettes Hospital, US, which had previously been recognised as
the world's best hospital for 13 consecutive years.

At the function, Najib also witnessed the signing of the Mahadevan
Fellowship Award certificate which was presented to Dr Sharifah Elizah as a
symbol of her success.

Dr Sharifah Elizah, when met after the function, said she would be leaving
for the US Monday night and would be collaborating with the London School of
Clinical (Malaysia) upon her return next month.

Dr Sharifah Elizah, who graduated from Guy's Hospital, London, is very keen
on the aspects of patients' healthcare and welfare.
