GCC Culture Ministers hold meeting in Muscat

Muscat, October 26, SPA-- GCC Ministers of Culture held here today their 15th
meeting under the chairmanship of Omani Minster of Heritage and Culture Haithm Bin
Tariq Al-Said. GCC secretary General Abdulrahman Hamad Al Atiyyah attended the
meeting.


The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting is led by Dr.
Abdulaziz Khoja, the Minister of Culture and Information.

In an opening speech, Omani Minister Haithm Bin Tariq Al-Said said the world around
us is changing rapidly and the IT revolution is affecting inherited cultural
structure, which imposes the need for careful planning that enables us to cope up
with this kind of acceleration and take advantage of modern technology in active
cultural contribution.
