US$409,956 AID FOR PALESTINIANS DISTRIBUTED

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 30 (Bernama) -- Malaysia distributed RM1.4 million
(US$409, 956) in aid to Palestinians in Gaza last year via micro credit projects
and false body parts for victims of Israeli atrocities.

The Prime Minister's wife Rosmah Mansor said money from the
Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) was also used to build two bakeries, a
supermarket and a specialist clinic for Palestinians.

"The fund has collected RM14 million (US$4.09 million) with the remainder
being kept by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra). A committee is
evaluating future projects to be undertaken."

Rosmah said this after receiving Biet Lahia municipality mayor Izideen M El
Dahnoon who thanked the Malaysian government and people for the aid to Gaza.

"A Palestinian child is receiving treatment at our hospital here," Rosmah
who is also PCRF patron said.
