CUBA'S DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER VISITS MALAYSIA THIS SUNDAY




KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- Cuba's Deputy Foreign Minister Marcos
Rodriguez will make a three-day official visit to Malaysia to strengthen
bilateral ties.

The visit begins on Nov 1 and Rodriguez is scheduled to make a courtesy call
on Deputy Foreign Minister Senator A Kohillan Pillay and International Trade and
Industry Minister, Mukhriz Mahathir.

A meeting will also be held with senior officers to discuss bilateral ties
and exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest.

"The official visit proves the inclination and committment of both sides to
strengthen bilateral ties for the future," said a statement from the Foreign
Ministry to Bernama here Friday.
