Road Map program
Aktau, October 30, 2009 (Khabar) - The Road Map program has been successfully implemented on time in the Mangistau region. Such a statement was made by the Education and Science Minister Zhanseit Tuimebayev who heads the promotion team which arrived in the region.
Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Minister for Education and Science of RK:
- The programme includes the restoration of schools, hospitals and roads as well as a staff retraining project. It is very important and this work, which receives a lot of financing, will be in action next year too. Vocational schools and technical universities will carry on this work.
813 people can now be seen taking retraining courses in the region as part of the Road Map program which is fully subsidized by the republican budget. Another 2 thousand people are also expected to do the course later. A new centre for training oil and gas specialists was recently put into effect in Aktau. While at the Caspian University of Engineering and Technology, Zhanseit Tuimebayev spoke about additional measures for preferential student loans.

- This year alone, an estimated 19,500 students have received additional grants thanks to the head of state. These students switched from chargeable to free of charge study programs. Now they don’t have to pay for their study plus they receive scholarships.
