Golden autumn festival of Slavic songs
Pavlodar, October 31, 2009 (Khabar) -
Pavlodar has witnessed the end of the festival of Slavic songs entitled Golden Autumn. Over a period of ten years, the festival has involved both famous and amateur musicians. For example, for 20 years the Russkiye Uzory ethnic music band has visited a lot of countries and received the title of People’s Artists.
Pavel Zhuravlyov, member of Russkiye Uzory ensemble:
- I know a lot of Russian songs and learned national dances. I like to learn about other cultures.
Galina Orlova, member of Russkiye Uzory ensemble:
- It is our favourite business. At international contests we don’t just represent the city of Aksu or Pavlodar region but the whole of Kazakhstan.
Organizers of the Golden Spring contest believe that such contests assist in uniting young people. At a session of the Assembly of People in Astana, the head of state emphasized this point.
Rysty Zhumabekova, deputy head of Pavlodar region:
- The enchantment of the speech of our president is still with me. Today it is high time to say that Kazakhstan’s people have established themselves. Today Kazakhstan’s patriotism is not just a mere word.
The festival involved a lot of guests. The inspirer of the festival Tatyana Kuzmina received a diploma from a representative of the Russian embassy.
Additionally, the festival involved the Moscow bard Nikolay Yemelin, who was born in Pavlodar and his friends, stunt men Sergey Kozlov and Sergey Tkachenko, who are famous for such films as “Landing troops” and “Wolfhound”.
