SEVERAL MOUs TO BE SIGNED BETWEEN MALAYSIA AND CHINA

PUTRAJAYA, Nov 9 (Bernama) -- Several memoranda Of understanding (MoU) are
expected to be signed between Malaysia and China during the two-day visit of
Chinese President Hu Jintao beginning Tuesday.

Foreign Minister Anifah Aman told a news conference here Monday that Hu had
also made a personal request to visit the southern state of Melaka on Wednesday.

The Chinese President and his wife, Liu Yongging, are scheduled to arrive at
the KL International Airport (KLIA) at 3.40pm (Malaysian time) Tuesday.

After a state welcome at Parliament Square he will have an audience with
the Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at Istana Negara (National Palace)
and receive a courtesy call from Prime Minister Najib Razak and wife, Rosmah
Mansor, at Shangri-la Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

On Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's visit, Anifah said Susilo
would arrive at the KLIA at 1pm on Wednesday and would also be accorded a state
welcome at Parliament Square besides receiving Najib and having an audience with
Tuanku Mizan.

On Thursday he would have a delegation meeting with Najib during which they
were expected to discuss issues including that on Indonesian maids in their
talks on manpower for the two countries, Anifah said.

He also said that Najib had received an invitation to attend the Nuclear
Summit in Washington in April next year.
