Almaty, November 11, 2009 (Khabar) - The student symphonic orchestra of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatoire is going on tour to America. Young musicians are going to perform in the largest concert halls such as the Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, as well as at the best concert stages in Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco.

Zhaniya Aubakirova, chancellor of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatoire:
- Going there, they understand that they need to perform at a high level and show all their skills. I am amazed by their concentration and mobilization. And I am always seeking possibilities for their creative growth.

The trip of 110 children to America was sponsored by different supporters and the government. Zhaniya Aubakirova said that recently the number of Kazakhstan residents, who want to support arts and culture has increased.

Zhaniya Aubakirova, chancellor of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatoire:
- All these people treat culture not like state officials but like residents of the country. They understand that the needs of culture are eternal and despite the financial crisis it should be supported.

The clarinetist, Ilyas Bekishev, treats concerts in America very seriously and is even rehearsing at night. The programme of the concert involves overtures of Tchaikovskiy and Bernstein, the second concert of Rachmaninoff and the symphonic poem by Aktota Raimkulova, entitled “Zhamila”, which is devoted to the memory of Chingiz Aitmatov.
