The Parliament considers a bill on Kazakhstani content
Astana, November 12, 2009 (Khabar) - Majilis has adopted in first reading the bill amending the law of Kazakhstan's content. According to Vice Minister of Industry and Trade, Yerhat Iskaliev, the Ministry plans to found a complete database of Kazakhstani content in state procurements, a monitoring system will operate and control this sphere.
The database will be available on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, so that manufacturers can observe and predict the demand for their products.
MPs approved a bill on refugees in the first reading. It regulates the procedure of applying and registration of applications for refugee status, and also defines the rights and obligations of the refugees and reasons for refusing to assign such a status. More than 3 million tenge will be allocated from the republican budget for the realization of the bill during the next two years.
Gulshara Abdykalikova, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan:
- By early October, 622 refugees were registered in Kazakhstan, 99% of all arrivals are residents of Afghanistan. The purpose of this bill is creating of conditions for protection of the rights of refugees, in addition, this law allows us to better regulate this sector.
