“Rising stars at the Kremlin” festival

Moscow, November 14, 2009, Khabar - Moscow has hosted an international festival of young performers of classical music for the first time. Vladimir Spivakov’s world renowned “Moscow Virtuosi” chamber orchestra accompanied the musicians from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Svetlana Medvedeva:
- Creative activity and art are a wonderful basis for the development of cultural relations and strengthening trust and mutual understanding among nations. Young people are the future of our countries and it depends on how we foster our children to a large extent.
Many participants of the festival started playing musical instruments long before they could talk. Therefore, they have a special language - the language of Bach, Verdi, Mozart, and Rossini. The youngest performer from Azerbaijan is only 11 years old. However, he managed to play the hardest parts of Vivaldi concertos such as “Summer” and “Winter” in keeping with the best traditions of baroque. A piano player from Kyrgyzstan performed a piece by Bach surprisingly softly. Yernar Nurtazin, the Kulyash Baiseitova Almaty musical school graduate decided to play Vienna classic works by Haydn.
Yernar Nurtazin, pianist:
- Playing and listening to Haydn’s music makes you want to live. I’m greatly honoured to perform with such an orchestra as the “Moscow Virtuosi” and maestro Vladimir Spivakov. Communication between our countries and nations is what really matters.
Spivakov himself noted that he was happy with the young musicians’ accomplishments and he understands that it was quite difficult to perform with the orchestra for them.
Vladimir Spivakov, conductor:
- The atmosphere in the Kremlin itself is rather hard to deal with for adults as well. Adult people happen to be tired and everyday life lies heavier on their shoulders while young people go through it all a lot easier.
All the rising stars already have some experience of triumph at the most prestigious musical competitions and they were given a great ovation at the Kremlin.
