Foreign Minister to visit Myanmar
(KPL) Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, left Vientiane yesterday for an official working visit to the Union of Myanmar from 17 to 21 November.
While in Myanmar, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, who is also Chairman of the Laos-Myanmar Co-operation Committee, will attend the 9th meeting of the Laos-Myanmar Co-operation committees.
The visit to Myanmar of the Lao Foreign Minister is at the invitation of H.E U Nyan Win, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Myanmar-Laos Co-operation Committee of the Union of Myanmar.
According to a source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sides will review the progress in the implementation of the 8th meeting resolution and plan the future co-operation which aims to further strengthening the traditional friendly relation and co-operation between Laos and Myanmar.
