Borikhamsay determines new industrial zones

(KPL) Borikhamsay province will determine a new industrial zone next year for further expansion and good management, according to the report of the annual meeting on 2008-2009 industrial area management.
The determination would be executed by the Provincial Commerce and Industry Service. An area between Somsuen and Thongkha villages, in Borikhanh district, would be determined as the heavy industrial zone, said the provincial industry and commerce service.
While the light industrial zone would be planned for in Pakkading district. The friendly environmental factories would be allowed in this area. The four villages of Songkhone-Nam Ngiep, Nongdeng, Houai Khoun and Nampa are being determined to be the construction area with 63,797 hectares of land area.
The old industrial zone on 1,000 hectares would stretch from Thongnoi village of Paksan district to Houai Khoun village of Borikhanh district.
More than 14 industrial factories have been set up in the province on an area of 43,878 hectares since 1995.
