Astana, November 17, 2009 (Khabar) - Zhambyl police neutralized a criminal group that was engaged in banditry on roads. Kuanyshbek Zhumanov, press secretary of Ministry of Interior Affairs of RK has said this during the briefing in Astana.

- In Kapchagai town of Almaty region the policemen arrested criminal group involved in robberies of heavy vehicles on the territory of Zhambyl region. By present, 5 suspects are seized with a gas pistol "Makarov", a police baton and baton. Investigation is underway.
In general, nearly 1800 crimes were committed last week and more than 1300 were revealed in hot pursuit. Police revealed 183 drug-related crimes, seized over forty kilograms of drugs. According to Kuanyshbek Zhumanov, “Registration” preventive operation began on Monday on the territory of the republic. It will be aimed at preventing recidivism and juvenile delinquency.
