Board of Ministry of Defense took place in Astana
Astana, November 21, 2009 (Khabar) - The military men have summed up the results of this year and considered conception of further development of army. Head of the ministry, Adilbek Dzhaksybekov says this year the Armed forces conducted 52 large actions of socio-political and operational significance. Among the most important is “Interaction-2009”, command-staff exercises in October in conjunction with the Force rapid response of the Collective Security Treaty. Large-scale exercises in the territory of CIS became a major test of professionalism for the Kazakh Army. The military men passed the exam with honor.
Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan:
- The best soldiers and officers of the Kazakh Army were involved into those exercises and advanced military equipment of the country was used. It showed an excellent level of training and military skills, the willingness of Kazakh soldiers to protect their state and nation at any time.
Another important event, military parade, that was held in Kazakhstan’s capital in honor of Constitution Day. It was attended by about two thousand soldiers, officers and cadets of the country, over one hundred units of various military equipment and aircraft. The Defense Minister drew attention to the fact that Kazakhstan will continue to save on the military training of their armed forces. Financing of this sphere remains a priority, it will only need a clear plan.
Saken Zhasuzakov, chief of the land forces of Army of RK, lieutenant-general says they have no difficulty in solving any problems, issues related to financing. Of the more than 2 thousand training activities relating to different kinds of exercises, were fully complied with the program of training.
The army theme was one of most popular during direct link with the President. Social support personnel, infrastructure development garrisons, improvement of living conditions, many problems were solved during one year.
Saken Zhasuzakov, chief of the land forces of Army of RK, lieutenant-general:
- Very great changes have taken place in the social sphere. Our garrisons live and flourish, for example in Otar. This year 5 barracks for the troops were ended in that Otar. And housing in Saryazayskom garrison in Ayaguz was put to exploitation.
The country obtained new technique and fighting vehicles and concept of development of individual branches of the armed forces of Kazakhstan was elaborated.
Zhandarbek Zhanzakov, commander Naval Forces of RK, captain 1 rank:
-The Navy is one of the young branches of the armed forces. The development and formation of a new branch of the armed forces is in strict accordance with the commission of the Commander in Chief, the President of our country, Nursultan Nazarbayev Nazarbayev. He pointed out during recent direct link that the modern world must have a mobile, compact, well-trained army and equipment.
Among the priorities for next year: optimization of the system of military education, expansion of international military and military-technical cooperation, as well as the continuation of housing solutions of military personnel. There will be a number of activities within 65th anniversary of the Great Victory, the 15th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan. “Peaceful Mission-2010” exercises will be held on the territory of the country in SCO framework. In addition, the combat readiness of troops and equipment of the Kazakh army with new weapons systems and military equipment will be continued.
