Problem of drinking water in Birsuat settlement

Astana, November 21, 2009 (Khabar) - Residents of Birsuat village of Arshaly district in Akmola region will be supplied with drinking water. For the construction of water supply to 150 million tenge another 50 million were additionally allocated. Problems of residents of this village Anatoly Gonchar wrote about painful problems of the villagers to Nursultan Nazarbayev as he believed that the president must help. He received a long-awaited response from the governor of region during direct link with the President.

Albert Rau, governor of Akmola region:
- At the initial stage of construction 20 million was used, but it turned out and intelligence didn’t confirm the reserves of water. And we had to stop last year. This year, the new calculations on project were carried out and the government will allocate money the next year and the project will be implemented.

Nursultan Nazarbayev instructed the regional governor Albert Rau to take special control solution on this issue. After the presidential request the regional sitting was held. The rural administration blamed contractors for not beginning constructing water pipeline though money was allocated two years ago. Residents of Birsuat village were promised that problem of drinking water will be solved and work will be begun in spring.

Gulnar Oralkanova, head of rural district Birsuat:
- According to the project, 7 km water pipeline from the village of Birsuat to the source of public water supply reservoir, to Baidaly -3,5 km and the distribution network in Birsuat village 14 km, this will be done by a normal contractor during three - four months.

Anatoly Gonchar, villager of Birsuat:
- I am pleased with this shift, and with our President Nursultan Abishevich that he addressed with good words, and drew attention to a child, and adults, workers, employees, I am very grateful. I have been living here for 54 years and this village is my home, as if I was born here, and all the people who live here , many nationalities, probably 60 and all they live very good life.
