MALAYSIAN KING PRESENTS INSTRUMENTS OF APPOINTMENT TO NEW ENVOYS

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 25 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal
Abidin Wednesday presented instruments of appointment to four new envoys at the
National Palace here.

They are Syed Munshe Afdzarudin Syed Hassan, the new ambassador to
Indonesia; K. Ilango, the new ambassador to Lebanon; Zainol Rahim Zainuddin, the
new high commissioner to Kenya, and Mohamad Sadik Kethergany, the new ambassador
to Iran.

Syed Munshe, 45, was the ambassador to Iran; Ilango, 49, the
minister-councellor at the Malaysian embassy in Washington; Zainol Rahim, also
49, the Malaysian deputy permanent representative to the United Nations in New
York and Mohamad Sadik, also 49, the undersecretary for Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar,
Vietnam and Oceania at the Foreign Ministry.
