Kazakhstan-Norway: development of relations
Astana, November 26, 2009 (Khabar) - The secretary of state and the foreign minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has met with the deputy foreign minister of Norway Elisabeth Walaas, who is currently paying an official visit to Astana. The two parties discussed cooperation between the two countries in the economic, social, cultural and humanitarian areas. Currently, the amount of investments of Norway into the economy of Kazakhstan account for over 80 million US dollars and according to last year results, the output amounted to almost 742 million tenge.

- At the meeting, the attendees have discussed the forthcoming chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE, which is important both for Norway and for the country of the Central-Asian region which will act as its chair. I believe that it is great opportunity for Kazakhstan.
