Union state budget for 2010 to be adopted on Thursday.
MOSCOW, November 26 (Itar-Tass) - The Parliamentary Assembly of the
Union State of Russia and Belarus is to endorse the 2010 union state
budget at a session that will end on Thursday.
The budget's revenues will remain unchanged compared to last year -
4.8 billion Russian roubles. Russia will allocate 3.1 billion Russian
roubles into the union budget while Belarus will allocate 1.7 billion
roubles.
The spending part provides for financing 42 programs and annual events
as well as the maintenance of the governing bodies of the union state.
The 2010 budget will ensure the financing of long-term programs of
combating crime and counteraction to terrorism in the territory of the
Union state, the development of its external border and the functioning of
regional groups of troops in the territory of the union state.
Funds will be committed to the celebrations of the 65th anniversary of
Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Artists from both countries will give
a concert for war veterans. A joint exhibition from the museums of Russia
and Belarus will be held. Russian and Belarusian war veterans will be sent
to spas and health-improvement centers to improve their health.
On Thursday, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Russia
and Belarus will amend the 2009 union state budget. It has been decided to
redistribute funds with an aim to finance festivities devoted to the 10th
anniversary since the signing of a Treaty for the creation of the union
state. The date will be marked on December 8 this year.
The deputies will also consider changes in the lineup of the
Parliamentary Assembly and its plan of work for 2010.
