S. Korea to hold health tour roadshow in Vietnam
By Nam Kwang-sik
SEOUL, Nov. 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's state tourism agency said Thursday that
it plans to hold a roadshow late this month in Vietnam to attract Vietnamese
tourists to South Korea on health tours.
The Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) will hold meetings with Vietnamese tourism
agencies and potential tourists to South Korea from Friday through Monday in the
southern Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh, the company said.
The number of outbound Vietnamese tourists for medical tours reaches 15,000 a
year, with 11,000 people visiting Singapore, trailed by Thailand and China with
2,000 each, KTO said.
KTO is aggressively waging a public-relations campaign to lure more health
tourists through its 27 overseas branches.
