Laos and Myanmar sign visa exemption for normal passport
(KPL) The Lao PDR and the Union of Myanmar have recently signed an agreement on visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports.
The agreement was signed during the working visit to the Union of Myanmar by Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith on 17-20 November.
According to the agreement, the citizens of Laos and Myanmar who hold the ordinary passports with six-month validity can enter and stay in each other’s country for 14 days without visa.
The above-mentioned agreement will come into effect as of 20 December, 2009.
