International Accounting Conference in Tehran

TEHRAN, Dec.1 (MNA) -- The Second International Accounting Conference will be held on December 8 and 9 in Tehran, said secretary-general of the Iranian Accounting Association (IAA).
The Mehr News Agency quoted Naser Partovi saying that the main topics in the conference include accounting education, international accounting and financial reporting standards, accounting and corporate governance, the role of accounting information in business improvement, the application of information technology in accounting, accounting and capital market development, globalization of the capital market and accounting standards, the role of accounting in the public sector in Iran and the world and its role in tax assessment.
Partovi cited the goals of the conference is introducing Iranian accountants to the world, updating accounting and auditing in the capital market and banking affairs, reviewing accounting education in Iran and changing auditing forms.
He mentioned reviewing privatization in Iran, assessing the role of banks in the country’s affairs and resolving problems in banking affairs of Iran as the other objectives of the conference.
High-ranking public and private sector figures as well as foreign guests from Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Croatia, Yugoslavia, the United States, Malaysia and Australia will take part in the event, he said.
